Rotorua in Northland is like no other place on the Earth, upon arriving to Rotorua; you would immediately know it is like nowhere else. Experience the real New Zealand and visit Agrodome a fun place to see in Rotorua. Agrodome is spread over the area of 300 acreage, also invite guests to tour the organic farm and show how farm animals are taken care of. Visitors to the place can enjoy award wining sheep show and even get the opportunity to feed the cattle or milk a cow on stage. Visitors to Agrodome can take part in other adventure activities like bungee jumping, swooping and free falling.

Mangorewa Walking Track located within Mangorewa Ecological Area is a unique place to see in Rotorua. It is a great insight to Rotorua transport history. Mangorewa Walking Track is a long track that starts right from the parking area that leads you to the Ohaupara Stream; you have to cross several small streams before reaching the open camping area. You can return back using the same track you followed to come or walk back via the Mangorewa River. The downstream walk is extremely slippery and suitable only for experienced trampers who are wearing tramping boots especially when the water level is low.

A visit to spectacular Tarawera Falls where water gushes out of fissures from the large rock surrounded by native bush is a good place to see in Rotorua. The cliff of Tarawera Falls is believed to be poured from an eruption happened some 11,000 years ago. The area supports unusual vegetation and both pohutukawa and rata, the native flowers of New Zealand are found here. The unusual feature is the interbreeding between the two closely related species of pohutukawa and rata, which is evident from the variety of different shaped leaves found on the forest floor.

Waimangu Volcanic Valley is another place to see in Rotorua and can be enjoyed by people of all ages and physical abilities. Waimangu Volcanic Valley is just 20 minutes to the south of Rotorua. It offers variety of activities that can be enjoyed throughout the year. You can enjoy good range of easy walking, hiking and boat cruises from 45 minutes to 4 hours here.

Geothermal and lakes are the two great assets of Rotorua, many people visit there only to experience the nature spa of the South Pacific. There are many places offering pools of natural hot mineral water spa to soothe body and soul with air massage under the warm thermal water.
