NorthlandNorthland is considered to be the birthplace of nation. Northland located to the north of Auckland and is made up of many smaller regions. Northland has three main airports that are located at Whangarei, Kerikeri and Kaitaia. Auckland is the main international getaway to reach Northland. Air New Zealand, has a complete coverage in Northland, besides that, air charter operators offer helicopter and fixed wing transport too.

Whangarei bus service runs under the administration of the Northland Regional Council and is the major bus operator in Northland. Buses timings and routes can be seen online. It is important to note that bus services do not operate on Sundays. The timetable for Saturday is followed on public holidays.

Spring is a good time to visit Northland and the Bay of Islands for Spring Special Festival. The Kauri festival that starts in September has a lot to offer for visiting domestic and international travelers. Eco forest adventure, culinary experience, aqua adventure, cultural festivals are some of the distinctive highlights of the event.
