New Zealand Paragliding

New Zealand Paragliding If you are looking for a thrilling and exhilarating adventure vacation, then you should definitely try out paragliding in New Zealand. Also known as parapenting, paragliding allows you to literally fly with the birds and offers you some of the most dramatic New Zealand’s vistas from way up in the sky. Combining the adventure sports of hang-gliding and parachuting, you get to see New Zealand’s stunning and varied landscapes from a whole new perspective.

Easier than hang-gliding and parachuting, paragliding requires only one half day instruction course, after which you can be off soaring in the skies. Paragliding also gives you a greater deal of control so that if you are ever uncomfortable, you can land almost immediately and avoid hurting yourself.

If you are not brave enough to go paragliding on your own, you can even go gliding with an experienced instructor in tandem, who will do all the work while you take in the views below. When choosing a paragliding company make sure it is an experienced organization with a good reputation. Always ask for customer references and make sure you do all the necessary research so that you are safe in the skies.

The Central Otago region and resort of Queenstown are prime paragliding locations in New Zealand, along with the Hawke’s Bay area, the Bay of Islands, Taupo, Christchurch, Auckland and Nelson.
