Hauraki Gulf Islands - Aucklands The main entrance to Auckland which is famously and exceedingly known for its beauty and tranquility is the Hauraki Gulf Islands. The islands lie between the Waitemata Harbour and the Coromandel Peninsula and this amazing region comprises more than 50 islands and islets.

The Hauraki Gulf Islands attracts tourists and visitors who are captivated by its calm waters, stunning sceneries, and the marvelous cultural heritage found here. The Hauraki Gulf Islands is a doorway to Auckland as all ships move to and from Auckland through this area. The largest island of Hauraki Gulf Islands is the Great Barrier Island and Waiheke Island.
